2002/3.1 started as a coolant loss problem. Changed lower intake gasket, (and everything involved) then refilled coolant as 100%, started but was still registering hot on indicator. Drained coolant, flushed system and refilled 50% coolant and 50% distilled water. Now it turns over, sounds like it`s just about to start but won`t quite catch. Any ideas on what I might of $crewed up now. Thanks for all replies and the mucho patience with my mindless newbie questions. :screwy:

Thanks for sugestion, I`ll give that a shot tomarrow as I start to tear it down again to see if something that doesn`t show right off that top has come un-done (lots of electrical connections). I did have to cramp my hands in tight to re-install the theromastic without removing the throttle body from the upper intake. Again Thanks!!

Should have changed the t-stat while you had the intake sitting on your workbench! Aren't monday morning quarterbacks great? :iceslolan Seriously though, if it ran after you put it together, you must have bumped something changing the coolant on the second go round. I can't believe you got the stat out without removing the throttle body. When I changed mine I fussed with the back bolt for 45 min before removing and reinstalling the throttle body in 10 minutes. Don't ever put yourself thru that again! I have the same car and have been there and done that. :grinno:
