I saw on tv the other day about a truck that had power rear window. There was a person inquiring about one a while back and I was wondering if they had kicked anything up on where to get one.

I found it! I spent some time surfing the net looking for the power rear window kit without any luck. Someone from customtruckforum.com sent me an e-mail about using a limo partition motor and setup. I found a company that sells them for $240 starting and they come in many sizes. I hope tis helps whoever has benn interested in this.

The limo window is a good idea, but it may look funny. Never been inside a limo, but from TV and movies, the window is indented from the front and back.
What I was thinking about doing is getting the rear door off of a Suburban and welding that in the rear of the cab.

All that you buy is the motor and the frame. YOu would use your existing window and have to find a way to seal it. I was going to use the window seal off of a suburban.

But doesn't the frame stick out quite a bit on both sides of the window?
If you try this, please post again with your results. I'd like to do that on my truck.

I have adapted my inside trim around that window to accept the frame and motor. It is only about 1 1/2" thick so it was easy to trim a little off of the inside.

Awesome. Could you get a pic on here? I'd like to see that.

I have to fiberglass and cut the trim pieces. I tried to cut out a little but a new beauty plate/facia has to be made. I can't get pictures because I don't have a camera yet.
