Just finished this one, not really a ratrod...
This is a nice kid, hood, doors and rearhatch open with help of a bunch if tiny bits. I think I'll get another one and do a real ratrod.
Still have some touching up to do, I noticed after uploading the roof came loose and the runningboard still need another coat of white.

How did you managed to set those hinges right. I had to glue other door as closed and another door will be hanging. Nice job btw.

How did you managed to set those hinges right.
I painted every bodycolor parts in advance, so removing paint is necesairy.
I glued the bottom hinges first, wait 5 mins for the glue to get a bit thicker so you can move the hinge but still have it stick. I put in the door and let it dry overnight. Then I took the door out, put some glue in the slot for the top hinge and put the door back in place with the top hinge. Put some spit on the hinge to have it stick to the door. (yuk!)
Allow to dry overnight again and test if the door opens OK.
You risk glueing the door shut, but it went well for me on all 4 doorhinges the first try, just don't use to much glue.
I had more trouble with the sidehinges of the hood, snapped off the pins,
have the halve fold open while the glue isn't dry yet so it take the hinges off. :(
It just took a lot of time waiting for the glue to dry. Same goes for the hood and rear hatch. Put a little glue on, with 5 min's. Only glue one hinge to the part. Let dry, attach part and glue second hinge in place.
Hold on hinges with clothespins while drying.

It's nice to see a non-ratrodded version of the truck, nice build, and great shine!

Ahgg...(drool). Paint looks like the one on the box! Nice build! I have 2 of these kits and they`re a goldmine for A-bone parts!! Especially the wheel/tire combo.. (more drool).
Anyway, you have done a great model!!
Build more hotrods. Thats an order ;)

I have that 29 Ford on the 'to do' list, and I recommend drilling out the hinges and using thin wire for the pin. That way you can glue everything up and still disassemble it for painting.
