Thanks to BlazerLT and everyone else who post in this forum. I was having major problems with my 94 4.3 vortec and found all the answers I needed here. It did however cost me about $600.00 to fix it but it certianly would have been more without you post advice. Again thank you all. :grinno:

I have 240,000 miles on this vehicle and had never done any major repairs and it was starting to use alot more gas and the engine was gradually running worse. I found I needed to replace the CPI unit, the EGR valve and the throttle position sensor. I also did a comlpete tune up and oil change on it. I went from about 12 mpg or less to getting about 22mpg after the reapirs and she runs so smooth now.

I hope you replaced your nut kit as well, with that many miles it's due to go soon. But glad that everything worked out for you!

Yip, the nut kit should have been replaced with the fuel injector.

OK I finally have to ask:
Why is it called a "nut kit"? why not hose kit or tube kit or something that makes more sense?

Who knows, we didn't engineer it.
