Has anyone used any of the performance chips from Wester's. They advertise one for the 95's that removes the rev limiter as well as improves the quatermile time. The chip or memcall for the 95's is $329 which i don't mind spending if it really makes a significant differance. I don't expect it to turn it into a race car just improve overall performance.

i'm not sure what this perform chip does, i've actually never heard of it. I did however fall for a "performance chip" on ebay that turned out to be a simple resistor. Just make sure that thats not what this guy is trying to sell. If you did purchase this chip, please post again to tell us how it works.

I emailed these people and asked them for some info. It is a replacement prom or mecal which ever you want to call it. It does in fact change a lot of things such as it disables the EGR, removes the rev limiter, change the torque convertor lock up point and improves the spark advance curve. They also claim that it should improve the fuel economy as well. They only offer this for the 95 models. I will probrably buy it as soon as I find an extra $330 in my budget. If you want to check them out they are Westers Garage.
I know about the resistor all it does is change the ecm's air temp reading that slightly richens the fuel mixture which I'm not sure if that would cause much of an increase in power or not.
