Did a search and found nothing. But when i got some wheels balanced and mounted at firestone, one of the guys (buddy of my dads) told me that my motor mounts were jerked up and need to be replaced. So i said ok and didn't worry about it.
However, the car seems to shake when you are at a constant speed, and if you give it gas it vibrates pretty bad until you let off the gas completely and then get back on it.
Anyone have an ideas? Could it just be bad motor mounts? Whats involved/how much would this cost to do it youself?
Thanks

Sound like the tires werent balanced properly.
Did the problem exist before the new tires?

Hmmmm I don't think so now that you mentioned it. But then again I'm not sure. Something I didn't even think about.
I'm going to have that check today/tomorrow when I get a chance. Hopefully thats it. I'll post up.
Anyways, I havn't tried to look for this answer yet, but if anyone knows of the top of their head. What causes a car to studder from a stop. It's been doing it a lot latly. It does it when I reverse out of my driveway or go from a light. It almost sounds like it dies, then jolts, and goes. (Hope thats the best way to describe it)
Thanks again.

No it could not...well it could but the problem would not exist all of sudden. Since you have a real early version of that motor your motor mounts are probably worn out. I had to replace 3 of them on my 87 (3.8L).

If it is shaking more at highway speed that usually means balancing incorrectly, but if it is vibrating bad when you give it gas...or jerks... it means the mounts may be bad and probably are if you have higher miles

Leave this computer right now and go to your local auto parts store and buy yourself a Hayes/Chiltons covering the Front Wheel drive H-Bodies ($10-$15). Explains everything you need to know.
Then go to....
http://www.autozone.com
or
http://www.partsamerica.com
to find prices for your car for the mounts

My first thought was a bad O2. I just did plugs and wires on it about a month ago thinking that was the problem. Nothing changed however. Do you think it could be a bad/leaky injector?
Air filter and fuel filter were both changed becasue of the problem and neither fixed it.

Those are causes 98% of the time.....
Get a AC Delco O2 from gmartsdirect (cheaper than auto store and 1/2 off dealer)...then go toward the other sensors like TPS...maf..coils....fpr....Does it throw any codes (check engine light)????
