Air vent removal 98 Jetta

How do you get the vent duct out. (just the part that you pivot up and down and left and right) The one I need to get out is the one just left of the steering wheel on the dash. Please help. Thanks

I believe it just snaps in, held at each pivot point. I reach a hook in behind & pull them out.
