My b16 (gen 1) arrived yesterday, but I have yet to see it (I got it shipped to the guy doing the swap). Anyway, he calls me today and says the crank pulley is cracked. What is the best solution for this? Are there aftermarket ones that I should look into? Could I source an oem one from the US spec b16's? Thanks for your input.

Well there are aftermarket ones, but I dont recomend them.
Just get one from a USDM B16a, thier all the same.
Or, even better try and get a new one from the company who sold you the motor.

yeah they make aftermarket ones but like ricodemus said they are made for lightweight to take less Hp off the crank to spin the pulley. Since the are made that way they are fragile and prone to bending. You can still get them I think they are cheaper than a OEM honda crank. I ordered one the other day for a civic I was working on... $128.

Which one did you get? Does it matter that I'm not gonna have/use power steering or a/c? I'm gonna call the company I got the engine from tomorrow and see what he says about replacement, otherwise I'm gonna get aftermarket. Any suggestions on brands? AEM, Unorthodox?
