Alright, i have a 1994 ford probe Gt and i am burning alot alot alot of gas for one! second, on top of all the money i throw into that, my car is burning oil...yes there are obvious things i can check for the oil leak but let me ask.....has anyone ever heard of pulling the oil dip-stick out of the tube while the car is running, and it makes the car choke (almost stall) i put my finger over the dip-stick hole and it is sucking about 5psi of air through it....WHAAAAT the he*ll is up with that and has anyone ever hear of such a thing? PLEASE! your information will definatly make me sleep better at night...because i love this car and its going to have to last! THANKS!!

More than likely your Oxygen sensor is out. This will definately cause the car to run rich and burn alot of fuel. As far as the vacuum in the the crankcase, I would check your PVC valve. It is meant to vent the vacuum in the crankcase and also rid the car of unburned gases by redirecting them back into the combustion chamber. If it is not functioning, it will cause a vacuum surge in the oil pan, thereby causing the symtoms you are describing.

Check out your head gasket for the oil. About the dipstick i believe its the high compression of the v6. When u remove the dip the pressure escapes quick and the engines rms will usually move up and down.

your enrichment valve could be stuck open, that would make you suck gas. just another guess.

or maybe you have a hole in your tank. Might want to check it out.
