I have a 1996 Honda Civic DX Hatch. I'm new to the whole car thing and im dying to learn! I want to sup my wheels through the roof and stay as far away from "RICING" my car as posible. Please... If you know of links and what not about supin' my ride please post them!!!
Second... I'm on the Hunt for a Turbo charger. I've read and read about these things and have a basic knowledge of how they work. Some one told me HKS. I looked, and it was expensive as all hell! Whats the best way to go for power and budget?
My car already has 170K on the motor. Im a little woried. The car runs great. But will a T-Charger skrew it up? What do I need to look out for? What could cause furture problems with an engine with that many miles on it?

170k, ull need to rebuild it soon, while ur at that point, sleeve ur block and get new pistons, rods, valve retainer springs, etc. the turbo will prolly make it die sooner, but then when it does ull have a reeason to get all those goodies. and then run more boost. more boost = more speed, aint that wonderful?
rims: go with the rota brand. light weight, look cool. cheap. not rice.
or you can swap out ur engine for a b16, b18, b20, k20, h22 several differant possibilites. your motor now is slow and what i said before abouit rebuilding it with cool stuff is basically worthless unless you have two cams,
turbo, cutom make it, http://www.cse.uconn.edu/~yelevich/turbo/turbo.html
ull be able to find parts at a junk yard or autozone and piece together with ur biweekly salary. hooray for cheapness.
to make it even faster. take out everything in the car you dont need, like the passenger seat, rear seats, spare tire, trim paneling, cd player, door panels. ac compressor and the belt for it, if u have power steering, take the belt and pump out of it. get a carbon hood, trunk, doors, fenders, and if u can find em, the roof and rear fenders.
get a new bigger fuel pump, a new bigger battery, like the optima yellow top. you will have to relocate it to your trunk.

Whats "sleeve" your engine?
Also... I understand there different engines... but what does all that mean? ( b16, b18, b20, k20, h22) what kind of engines are they?

Also... whats the best engine for performance I can put in my 96 Honda civic DX with out losing my AC... and still have the ability to put a T-Charger in?

Honestly you need to read some old threads in the Honda forums and learn by reading not asking a thousand questions. Can you do me a favor too....would you stop saying T-charger and just say turbo. BTW if you don't know the engine types yet and don't know the differences in turbos, you should wait a while until you understand them, then you can put one on your car.

schister66...i agree...you need to calm down...take a second...breath....and do some homework...you should know how something works...before you put it on....and for a turbo on a dx...your best bet....not doing it...swap the motor and build something else...
