crank sensor problem? or not!

check it out i am 21 years old have been working on cars since i was 10 built plentty of race cars etc. i just got a 99 silverado it stalled 3 times on me and some times it wont restart right away. well my scanner said it was a ckp sensor(crank postion senor) well i replaced and then it wouldnt restart so i retraced my steps and i found that the plug wires were ripped out of the plug. i bought a new plug then installed it and still no start just crank. truck has no fuel problem pump turns on and plentty of pressure.the plug has power, ground , and key pulse so i'm thinking it could be the computer but i wanted to hear some of your replys first. thanks for your time. email me if you can help.

i also checked the reluctor ring on the crank and it is fine!

Hay just had the same problem with my 2000 z71 i unpluged the ckp not knowing what i was and now it will not start

According to the Haynes Manual (junk, I know), anytime the Crank sensor is disconnected or replaced, the computer needs to go through a relearn procedure, which can apparently only be done by a dealer...

Haynes and Chilton's manuals are not junk

i had the same problem in my 99 and replaced the crank sensor and it still stalled on me so i brought it to the dealer and they said the iginition wire going to the back of the pcm was arching out

I find my problem when i pluged it back in i bent a prong in the sensor fixed the same night
can anyone tell me which kncok sensor is bank 2 the front or back under the intake
