Ok i need a little direction. i have the 89 CRX HF and am installing a D15 Vtec and converting to ODB1. I have the P28 ECU and the obd0-obd1 jumper harness. Ok my first question is does the jumper harness convert o2 sensor to 4 wires to the ECU b/c there is a wire on the jumper harness to run to the O2 sensor and the O2 sensor on my motor (d15vtec) only has one wire. Ok my next question is where is the O2 Sensor heater control. It does say in the directions that there are some of the wires on the jumper harness that will not be used so this could be one of them but i am not sure. Also there is a conector that i am not sure what it is for. It splices of the same line as the T.B. Temp sensor but has seperate wires(red wire and yellow/black wire). It's on the USDM Harness but not on the JDM, anyone know what its for. And my fourth and final question for now is where is the best place to splice in the Dizzy OBD1 connectors to the OBD0 Harness. Apreciate the help guys. Thanks Scott

I have done many swaps just do this and trust me on this go to www.mkiv.com/techarticles/oxogen_sensor_simulator/ When you first look at it your eyes will go crazy but it is simple to make since you only have to make two it will cost you around 30 dollars and this is a great way to take care of this problem you run a 12 volt key on supply and a ground then out of the 555 digital producer in the simulator will be your signal wire back to your ecu. Your engine will won't mind this actualy works better that 02 sensors. let me know

Not sure what that guy is talking about...^^^ The link he posted didnt work... But since u are using the P28 ECU, u will probably have to use a 4 wire O2 sensor... I just bought one cuz my D15B came with a 1 wire O2... I wish I had known or I would have went with the P08 ECU (one that goes to the D15B VTEC)...

Someone correct me if Im wrong... But the OBD harness should have about 8 extra wires I think it is, 4 of which go to your O2, one is for the new jumper wire for the CEL thing (so u can read the OBD codes), and the rest are for VTEC...

As for that extra connector, if its not on the JDM harness, then I dont think you will need it... If im not mistaken there are a few connectors that u will no longer need, u can just zip tie them up somewhere...

As for the dizzy, I was tottally confused with that, ppl say it depends on which OBD harness u have, and what colors and what not... So I just got one of these packages which includes a connector for the pre-OBD to OBD1 dizzy:

Hey i am with you, can't figure out what that guy was talking about. I like the dizzy harness you sent me, thanks. I might have to get that. although, well i tell you what, give me a min and i'll post the instructions that was sent to me for the obd0 to obd1 harness and see what you take of it. I think i can hook up the dizzy and all myself but i think i will get the harness cause i am trying to make this look as stock as possible just for my sake. I have taken the covers off the Z6 harness to reveal the wires that i have and am understanding a little better how the wiring works but there are a lot of differences between it and my hf stock harness, so as far as grasping what i need and don't need is kinda hard to decide. The alternator plugs look the same but i am not sure and can't really tell if they are pinned different so i am going to go ahead and just switch them out unless it's not necessary but the dizzy is a little confusing. I am running the 12 wires from the jumper harness through a 12 pin molnex connector just so i have a place for all the wires, weather i use them or not isn't as important. I also have 3 gorund wires and two hot wires on the jumper harness and really havn't figured out what there for unless they what me to run the sensor grounds to the jumper harness instead of the factory harness. Havn't figured that out yet either but i think once i get started just on understanding the basic design of the two harnesses and figure out which color wires go to which i'll be ok, but all help is apreciated and a little more on exactly what this obd0 to obd1 harness does. thanks Scott

Tried that, only word I could read was function... Rest was really blurry... But e-mail a larger copy to me: [email protected]

I fixed the typo in the first link but I don't know if it's helpful at all...
