1995 Trooper - Cranks But Will Not Start

Sorry for the ignorant questions, but I'm looking for some basic information and things to check. I've looked through previous threads, but couldn't figure out where to start.

1995 Isuzu Trooper Automatic with 122K miles. It will crank all you want, but not start. I'm looking at places and steps to start isolating (so that I may speak...or beg for help) to further describe what I'm seeing.
