i have a 98 camaro and i had 2 tune ups but the car keeps stalling, for instance if i press the accelerator it stalls, like when entering the expressway when you have to give it power it stalls then it kicks it to go faster. could it be my spark plugs, cause on the second tune up they told me that one of the sparks plugs was loose and they tightened it, but after a couple weeks the stalling came back. i dont know what it could be. any suggestions???

does it actually stall as in shut off, or does it just kindof sputter and almost like jump foreward, because i had similar problems for awhile, replaced the oxygen sensors and all was well.

it only stall when i give it gas if i am going about 15mph and i increase gradually to 60-70mph it stalls in between. feels like its not getting power.

It might be your throttle position sensor, because they replace the spark plugs in a tune up so that wouldnt be a problem.

does it blow any black smoke out of the pipes?
It almost sounds like a Mass air sensor.
Have you done anything like porting your MAF or trying to clean it out???
that is a big :nono: :nono: :nono:

my 96 had the same problem, one of the coils was going bad. it would only act up whenever it felt like it. some days it might run perfect, others it would run like crap.

Coils get replaced during a tune-up, don't they? I know they used to when I used to do them for people, and i thought it was an "industry standard".....

I've never heard of that, except on the older cars that only have one coil. these have coil packs that are very expensive. if they replaced them on top of the regular tune up, the price would be outrageous. but, I could be wrong too?
