Do you think it would work on the 305 tpi or would it even be worth it(it's like $700) to spend on the 305? I heard nothing but good results about the exhuast system.

by "worth it" do you mean performance wise or sound wise??
3" bent pipe and a flowmaster muffler will flow just as well and sound nice.. all for about $400

I mean is the 305 worth it? I went to the GMMG website and seen the exhuast system and it looked pretty cool. They had a picture of the 3rd gen firehawk equip with it. I think ill stick with the flowmaster though. I don't have deep pockets :(

pretty much a 3in catback is a 3in catback. The only real difference is the sound. The GMMG chambered exhaust system is quite possibly the best sounding exhaust for an F-body out there (depending on what you like, im sure some people preferr magnaflow and such for a deeper tone alla the 5.0 Mustang) But it definatly has a pricetag. I am salavating for a GMMG setup, but because im a starving college student i could only afford the Flowmaster american thunder system and high flow cat. Im perfectly happy with it, but will put the Chambered system on as soon as i can afford it. Its also a bit of a nostalgic touch, using the old chambered pipes used on the first generation camaros in the sixties. So its more of an emotional purchase than a rational one. If you just want improoved sound and breathing, there are certainly many less expencive and just as effective options out there.

So Iroc, the $700 is worth it then, i'll save up and get one day. I want nothing but the best for my car, i kinda got a legacy i need to try and keep going, my grandfather was a drag racer and owned two 69 camaro both ss's, never got 2 meet him though, but his drag racing wagon is still in the garage and it's got a 403 in it. Sorry for being off topic.

lol, no apology needed when your talkin about family blood and cars ;) my uncle drag raced a 69 yenko camaro and has a tri power 389 equipped 67 GTO right now. dad drove a 48 merc convertable with a flathead ford in it.
As far as weather or not its worth the money its really a personal call, as all exhaust purchases are. My suggestion to you is to do your research, especially if its not something you plan on buying right away. go online and download sound files of exhaust systems, most exhaust companies have these files on their webiste, just do a little looking. The reason i want the system so bad is that im building a modern interpertation of a 69 Z28, kinda what would have happend if the 89 IROC had the same soul as the 69 Z28. Im building a 302cid V8 for it, leaving the 4 speed tranny (granted its an auto which the Z28 never had but eh), putting a 1in cowl with 302 badges, the car has four wheel disk brakes, so i want the chambered exhaust to round out the image. So for me it will be well worth the 700 dollars, because its part of a whole package. I also love the sound of the exhaust.
For someone who is just replacing the exhaust system on their car, or likes a deeper tone, its probly not worth the investment. I certainly dont have any complants from my american thunder system from flowmaster, it sounds amazing with my headers installed. But its just not as fitting to what my final aim is. So its really up to you and what you like and are willing to pay for. So do your research before you buy anything.
