I am wanting to convert my '87 TPI 350 to a standard carb setup (no computer or emmisions) just fuel and spark!
All I want to do is leave the engine in the car and remove the intake and up and then go back with an aluminum intake/carb set up. I'll sell the entire TPI kit with the computer and harness.
Are there some other areas that I need to address that will become problems for me? I know there are cooling lines going to the oil filter area which I would think could be plugged. I'm not sure about fuel pump scenario.
Any help would be appreciated!

Cooling lines going to the oil filter area? The only lines I can think of going there would be lines for an oil cooler, which I would recommend keeping, though it isn't necessary.
The pressure from the fuel pump is about 42-52psi, and you will probably want around 12psi for the carb setup, so you may need to change the pump...
p.s. You will most likely need to get a different throttle cable

You'll need a switch to manually lock up the torque converter.

Thanks for your help. May do a 350 turbo for the tranny so that would take care of the lock up converter issue. One the fuel pump.....can I disconnect the electrical only on the existing pump and mount another electric pump (external) that will pump the fuel using the existing lines? I could plug the return line and use the feed line right?

You'd probably be better off getting the sending unit and fuel pickup from a carbed 3rd gen. The TPI fuel pump will restrict fuel flow if left in there and not running.
Also, you'd need to get a non CC distributor for the engine, one with vacuum or mechanical advance.
