i sent u an email but then saw that I dont except emails from this forum, soooo.
autozone repair section? where in that section can i find the codes and what they mean? i am looking but dont know where in the repair section of lists to find the code area. and they dont have a search box to type it in to find it. i clicked all the links on the left but i dont see anything that shows the codes and what they mean.

Oh and code 12 always means (or it used to mean) no distributor signal reference (IIRC) - and for cars that have a distributor that was correct because with the car not running and just the key in the on position there was no distributor signal reference.
for our cars, there is no distributor, just coil packs. But if you don't get a code 12, you should worry, then you just may have a bad ecm.
No you wont see the number 12, just your check engine light actually flashing once then twice, and yes it will repeat three times before moving on to the next code.

Ok, here is the book definition of code 12 for our engines:
This code will flash whenever the diagnosic terminal is grounded with the ignition turned on and the engine not running. If additional trouble codes are stored in the ECM they will appear after this code has flashed three times.
