I have just installed a new water pump in a friends ram and it is leaking coolant. The coolant is coming from the top of the water pump and running down the water pumpand dripping off. I pulled the pump off and the gasket looks perfect are there any other gaskets in that area that could need replacing. Sorry that I cant give any better description as to where the water is coming from becuase of all the bracketry holding the Ac compressor and alternator on. Any help would be appreciated. This is a 1995 ram 2500 with a 5.2 4x4.

Yes everything was clean and tight. It turns out it was a bad thermostat housing gasket.

if you use a product called The Right Stuff, you will NEVER have a leak. it is a marine grade sealant and there is no dry time. sealed a intake manifold and fired it up 10 min later and no leaks.
