I need some strut info....please?

I hear a knocking sound in the left front tire... hear it everytime i hit a pothole or uneven pavement. Is that what it sounds like???

If so...where can i get some cheap ones??

Could also be a bad ball joint's or tie-rod's....before buying struts,id take it in and have the front end inspected.Some tire shops will do it for free and others may charge a minimal price to look at it,but even at that,it's well worth the money spent,before buying parts you dont need !
