Need help on this question, I got a 2003 Honda F4I & it’s missing the whole front. :banghead:

Has no front end at all. Last night I put the Bike in first gear with out a clutch and not on. :banghead:

Is this supposed to happen??????

Not sure what your question is....Is it supposed to go into first gear without pulling in the clutch? Yes, that's normal.

Thanks!

It seems like your Wright.

Well my bike is missing the clutch and I just happen to put it in first Gear with out a Clutch and with the kick stand up and the motor not running, is that possible?

I think you sort of answered my question.

When you say the bike is missing the "whole Front" you might want to clarify as to what exact parts don't you have :screwy: .... The bike will go into first gear without a clutch but from my experiences it will jump on you or stall out. Make sure your shifting with the kickstand up, the bike has a safety switch that will kill the motor if your shift when your stand is down.

Even without a clutch, it is still possible to "power shift" from gear to gear... It's not pretty (or so I've been told) but it can work. You can also clutchless upshift, but that's a little different than what it seems you are saying.

Basically, we need a few more details to help you out better! :)

:uhoh: NO, NO, NO

The bike that I have is salvage and it's missing the Clutch and it also is unable to turn on do to some missing parts.

But my point is should the F4I be able to go into first gear with the Kick stand up and NO Clutch and the motor not running.

YES, it should be, you can play around with the gearbox all you want, the bike will shift, some bikes do it even without a clutch or moving the bike. When you shift to gear and bike hesitates to roll forward and then switch it back to neutral, where it can roll all day long, you'd know that bike IS shifting through gears. IT IS NORMAL.

In that case, Z is right on the money. You SHOULD be able to put it into 1st under those circumstances.

I kinda figured I was getting into stuff you didn't mean, but without more details, I wasn't sure. :D

Your firs replay was correct everyone ell is talking about if the Bike was able to turn on BUT IT IS NOT ABLE TO TURN ON BECAUSE IT'S MISSING PARTS. :screwy:

saturntangerine I think you are on the same page with me. :2cents: Your first replay hit the money.

saso,
you have confused everyone with your post. you need to spell correctly and give a full description of your problem. you also need to use more correct terms. not everyone speaks the same as you or understands your terms.

"Has no front end at all. Last night I put the Bike in first gear with out a clutch and not on"

this could have been described a whole lot better and eliminated all confusion.

try
"my bike is a salvage and is missing the front forks, fairings and headstock. last night i managed to put the bike in first gear without using the clutch while the motor was not running. is this normal?"

ok its twice as long but saves time further explaining later.

as a newbie we cut you some slack but please be more accurate and then you will gain more respect and not be assumed a "joke"
