Hello all,
I've been a victim of internet scamming. I purchased auto parts from an internet based company named "expressautoparts.com". I never received any parts nor did this bogus company give my money back. If you go to this site it looks very professional however, they do not do business by telephone (mistake #1: Never do internet business without a phone contact). I decided to order the parts for my Honda anyway due to the low discount prices and did so with my debit card (mistake#2: Never use a debit card over the internet unless you know the company you are doing business with as, the money comes straight from your checking account and you have no recourse to get your money back should the need arise as you can when ordering by credit). I have done some research on expressautoparts.com and they have no physical address in New York City as they claim under registration with Verisign nor do they have a listed telephone number. I have issued a complaint with the FTC, Verisign, and am in the proccess of writing the New York City Dept. of Consumer Affairs about this matter. In the meantime folks, please be careful and thoroughly check out any business before purchasing anything or you may end up like me with being scammed.
