The Shield

Does anyone around here watch The Shield? The new season premiered last night, and it looks like it will have a different feel to it that could be really cool. Plus, Glen Close is the new captain, which is a very interesting choice.

Yeah, this season could be amazing if done right. I have the first two season on DVD, but not the most recent one. I'll probably get it though. Another episode tonight!

The first two episodes were pretty good. It looks like Glenn Close will start shaking up the neighborhood and Vic will be stuck in the middle.

Shield is the only thing I watch on TV. Getting ready to watch third episode. Comes on in 12 mins.

Last night was a good one. What in the world is Aceveda doing? I would love to see him go down.

Yeah, I think his days are numbered. He has turned into a crazy man.

I can't wait to see Aceveda get taken down. I wonder if he'll try and take people down with him, i.e. Vic somehow.

I really love this show. I think that it just kicks ass.

Regarding Aceveda, i think he is going to get killed by either Vic or some of the street gangs.

Really? You think Aceveda is going to die? I think he'll get embarrassed and thrown in jail for something pervish, but not killed.

I just think so...im mean....sooner or later he might screw up with his partners (Vic and that one white guy) and end up getting fucked big time.

Did you see it this week? Shane is a freakin moron.

Also, Aceveda is going to end up killing that hooker and will look to Vic for supprt, that's my bet.

Shane is digging himself pretty deep. I am sure that this little issue is going to climax with some pretty crazy action.

It'll be interesting to see what happens tonight when Vic has to make a decision whether to help Shane or leave him to rot. i think he'll try and help him and sacrifice the trust he has with the new captain.

After what happend with Aceveda and that hooker...i think Aceveda is going to kill her just to keep her mouth shut.

This has been an amazing season so far. i loved how this week's episode left with a cliffhanger. i can't wait to see what Close does with Antoine.

Just thought I'd get this started again since fifth season just started two weeks ago. So far great show.

I was laughing. All-around great episode tonite.

It seems not many people watch "The Shield" or just don't comment on it. Oh, well. :shakehead

Recently in this weeks episode: IAD Lieutanant Kavanaugh (played by Forrest Whitaker) paid a visit to Antoine Mitchell (played by Anthony Anderson) to get info on the strike team. Some grenades go off thanks to the Salvadorians. Emolias help is enlisted to catch the grenade-makers and nearly dies. Kavanaughs ex-wife (played by Gina Torres) is introduced, claiming shes been raped. Dutch decides to try and help Kavanaughs investigation of the strike team. Corrine hands in the left-over money Vic gave her back from the money train. A grenade goes missing and the Salvadorians start searching the grenade assemblers. Emolias cover is blown and the strike team and Kavanaugh go into save her. Lem saves Kavanaugh from being killed by a grenade and Vic steals a few words w/ Emolia. Back at the barn, Dutch discovers that Kavanaughs ex-wife lied about beig raped and Kavanaugh has a private talk w/ her in the interrogation room. Vic & Lem watch the action between Kav & the ex on camera. Kav informs his ex that hes turning her in, and she trys desperately to change his mind. Kav gets a suspicion someones watching and sees Lem and Vic leaving the camera room. Kavanaugh snaps and has Lem arrested on the spot.
Thats the summary for episode 8 shown on Feb. 28, 2006. If you don't get it, its probably because you don't watch the show.
