Changing struts on s14 please help

I sold my s14 as most of you see my signature is an s13, Guy flew in from CA today to get it and we are going to change out the struts tomorrow, seeing how I've done everything but change struts, I'm looking for tips and such. Looks like a really easy job only thing I"m worried about is compressing the spring, I need tips suggestions and such as I dont' have a spring compressor. On my mr2 you didn't need one because the springs were so short on it you just jacked the car up pulled the struts swapt the springs and bolted up piece of cake but I can't even turn the springs on this car with it up in the air. So let me know how those of you do it w/ out a spring compressor.
