Rust proofing

okay i have heard a few things about rhino lining (or similar liners)the inside and undercarriage of jeeps, i just purchased a 1967 cj5 and it has some rust of course, what all would i need to do to it to prevent more rusts, i was thinking of taking the body off the fram and then sanding down the frame and painting it with a rustoleum paint, anyone know what kind is best and also paint the inside of the fenders and stuff like that. then the next thing i was going to do was line the inside with a roll on or spray on truck bedliner, as i have heard this is a good thing to do. anyone know what kind is best or just personal opinions on them, i would rather do it myself then pay someone else to do it for me.

On a vehicle that old, you may have some bad areas of rust. Before painting, I'd suggest using something to remove the rust. Sorry I don't remember the name, but there's a product available at most hardware stores that actually converts rust to a paintable epoxy-like surface. I've used it myself, once dry it is black in color and very hard.

Once that's done, Rustoleum is a good choice to prevent further rusting.

I've heard that a Rhinoliner or similar works very well for the inside of the Jeep.
