Sports Springs for 540i

I have a 2000 540i and would like to have it lowered. I got a quote to have H&R springs installed for $850. I was told that it's very labor intensive and requires practically tearing out the back seats to get to the springs. Is this the going rate? Any ideas of other good springs out there for my car? Thanks!

Does that include the springs? If that's just for labor than they are trying to rip you off horribly.

You are installing upgraged shocks with these new springs, right? If not then you better think twice about the whole project as it would be a massive folly to do so. In fact installing shocks by themselves might have given them the idea that they could slip one by you.
