Instrument lights blink with turn signal/electrical problems

I have read many forums, but no clues. I have 99 Jeep Cherokee. When i turn on headlights the instrument panel lights do not work and radio lights, etc does not go dim like suppose to. Although when i turn my left turn signal on, only, my instrument panel lights blink simentanously with blinker. I have checked all fuse and roughly looked over main wiring harness but no traces of problems. Any clues?

Update! I have checked all left side blinker and parking lights. None are shorted and are fine. so it must be either short in wiring or bad component. Possible headlight component. How do i check and see. Someone please reply, at least to let me know if i'm doing this forum right.

funny,I just came in form the garage,I was just working on the same problem.my dash lights came on dim when I hit the brake pedal.I also checked all the fuses and bulbs.I did find it in the trailor wiring harness. If your jeep has one{mine was aftermarket, with an adapter}you might want to check it out.
Good luck

First of all make sure you emergency lights are not half way pulled. Also check your grounds .I would start with the front lights sounds like that may be a problem . only other 2 thinks I can think of is headlight switch or blinker assembly on the collom.

Good luck
