Hey y'all, new to this forum, cool place! Anyway, I am very interested in buying an older model truck, and have really had my sights set on an early 80's Silverado. Not just any though, I am dying to find a flareside (i think that's the bodystyle). I think this is the correct forum.
Also, what is "C/K?"
Now, I don't know all that much about older Silverados, and was hoping you all could help me.
I posted a picture below of the EXACT style I want. Is this called "Flareside?"
What years did they make that model truck with that body-style?
I have been looking in autotrader.com and have only found that one. Can anyone recommend other Silverado/Chevy/Older truck Forums, websites where I could see some as well? Enthusiast sites?
Also, where are some other places to look for the truck I want other than autotrader.com?
I live in MD and check the paper, and have found lots of early Silverado's, but none with this bodystyle?

C1500 refers to a two wheel drive half ton, and K1500 means that it's a four wheel drive half ton, that's your C/K.
I believe that Chevy's with the box like that are called stepside, at least that's always what I've said, fuckin Ford's call it flareside i believe. And you know you can always swap on a stepside box if you can't find very man trucks with it already, not too hard, just get it lined up nice. I'd recommend maybe www.dealsonwheels.com . I think that' that's a fairly good place as well as www.cartrucktrader.com but the latter doesn't have as much.

Well on dealsonwheels I only seen two with that bed, a silver and yellow one. The silver one was like somewhere right below 10,000 and the yellow one was 4,500. Both of them had amazing looking bodies on them too so no repair or anything for them.
