Rotor Thickness - Service Limit

Does anyone know the factory recommendation for the minimum thickness of the front brake rotors for a 1997 Explorer?
I've have GOOGLE'd it all day, but I can't find the answer.

I'm planning to have my rotor removed and turned, the chilton manual recommends replacing the hub nut and washer for a new one before doing this job. With your experience is this necessary? And is the hub nut torque 157-213 ft.lbs? Thanks

We have done it both ways. If part is going to be a while in coming to shop, we will re use the old one. However, the nut is a locking type and when it is removed, you take some of the locking ability away.
