I am looking to purchase exhaust for my 96 Jimmy. Stock 4wd 4-door 4.3L with an aftermarket cold air intake, an intake sensor mod chip, and a Tornado Air Twister. I want to keep the same 2.25" piping and put just the muffler and tip on. If anyone has any suggestions/preferences... please let me know. I would really like to hear some sound clips of what it would sound like on a 4.3L Jimmy/Blazer/Brav/S-10... so if anyone has any, please send them my way
Just one more question too. I have been looking at a Throttle Body Spacer for my truck. Will this do anything as far as HP/TQ or MPG if i already have all of these things done. Please, any/all suggestions are appreciated
Much Thanks

I have a Gibson exhaust on mine. It sounds good but not too loud in the cab. I've had it for about 5 yars and I really like it. I noticed a big gain in hp and torque. I also have the cold air intake on it and with both, I've gotten better gas milage. The Gibson is 2.5" with a 3" tip. Summit racing sells a nice throttle body spacer. I havn't tried that, but I would emagine it'll help.

Thanks for the input, im thinking about flowmaster, but some people are saying good things, some are saying bad. I am looking for a deep aggressive "V8" sound from my 4.3LV6. I have a cold air intake which will help a little, but i dont want my truck sounding like a 4cyl honda....
Anyone have any suggestions?

That's one thing I can't stand. You have a truck, not a weed wacker. I wanted to go with flowmaster, but they don't make a complete cat back system. The one I have now, has a nice deep throaty sound. I can't complain about it. I have flowmasters on my '77 Gmc and I love the sound.

I have people listen to my exhaust clips and they think mine is a V8.

Don't go with a Flowmaster, go with a Ravin from Midas. Be quick though because I heard they might be discontinued soon. Flowmasters are raspy and will restrict flow a lot. Ravin's a much deeper and more aggressive and flow better than any muffler on the market.
Also GMCSeamus, don't do the intake sensor mod thing, it ruins your fuel economy and your computer wil compensate it out in about 400 miles.
Also, you need to do some more research because the tonado thing is a complete scam.

OK... despite what some have said, i bought the flowmaster 40 series. It sounds awsome, definitly sounds like a V8... i haven't even had it on for 12 hours yet and i have already had people ask me what i have in my jimmy. I love it... it has turned heads already. The cold air intake may help with the depth
I am not sure how to post sound clips, or even get them on my comp. If someone can help me out i will post some and show youguys.
From my experience, my fathers experience and my brothers experience...... Flowmaster is an Excellent Product
