k , i got 500 bucks to throw into to my lil civic. im putting in new white guages, and tack. what else should i throw in? i just bought the car, so its stock. in thinking putting in clear corners and and cold air intake. what else?

If so you should invest in a MPFI swap if you havent already.

Go with the tach, do a MPFI swap, intake, exhaust... Ditch the white face and clear corner idea for now... Thats just my advice... I made a mistake on my car and did all athetic mods first, and then did performance... I could have afforded a B16 swap by now...

Don't buy any of those things. Save for a b16 swap. After the swap is the time to worry about cosmetics. Trust me, once the b16 is in you won't care what color your corners are, you'll be too busy going fast.

Convert your car to MPFI or have a shop do it.

That's the best thing you can do to a DPFI car at first.

an engine swap would be sweet, but im in highschool and cant afford to save up for a new engine rite now. i just wanted to know some simlpe quik upgrades for my stock car for around $500.

ya, thank you. at least for this year my car wont be super fast or anything. im putting in the exhaust , intake, and headers as well as any other mild up grade. id like to throw in a b18 er sumthing later on, but for just driving back and forth to school i have my pumping stereo and a cool looking car, its not like im racing anyone... for now

lol nope, in fact if your real smart, make a basic computer and mount it where your spaire tire should be, then make a false floor, hook up wifi in your back window, most mcdonnalds have wifi now, so you can download mp3's from limewire, and have it be on their ip adress and not yours!

Everyone says get a B16...please. They are so over rated. I have a set of white guages my ex got me for Christmas. I will give them to you for like nothing.

$500 I would find a cheap MPFI swap and do a mini-me (SOHC vtec head).

i wouldn't reccomend a mini-me for the non mechanically inclined...problems can come up from that swap...

I did it when I was mech. inclined lol. It's more a common since thing.

i'd get yourself a cool air intake, headers, high performance cat, muffler, good tune up, new or used intake manifold, a lighter pulley, RKG or iridium spark plugs, good wires, all performance before cosmetics.

that's not really true... I've been running light weight pulleys for 3 years now...

Exactly... And whoever it was that said he couldnt afford it on his budget, MPFI swap is decently cheap, should put him well under $500... Whole thing should cost $300 tops... And performance wise, it would be better than the rest of the stuff without MPFI... Then he can go from there with his performance mods, and theyll actually do something...

DPFI (Dual Point Fuel Inject, what u have) uses 2 injectors for all 4 cylinders... An MPFI (Multi Point Fuel Injection) system uses 4 injectors, one for each cylinder... The 4 injectors work more efficiently than just 2 injectors...

Multi port injection = Oh so nice.

i cant wait til my mpfi swap is done =) itll probably be the last thing done to my car for a while unless something is needed. Right now im saving my money bc i gotta get inspected in april.
