tein coilovers

I plan on doing 80% drag and 20% drift. So what type of tein coilovers would be good. Something under $1400. I was thinking the basic damper kit. Would that be a good kit? And what r the better ones under $1400?

Well, RW240 will tell you all Teins under 1400$ suck ass. So..I dunno....

Tein is good but it's overpriced in the US. Try looking around for others like D2, JIC, Zeal, HKS, etc...

i remember a handful of guys sayin' there are others that are just as good as tein but cheaper... look around the forum too.

what is a good coilover from those name brands?

Zeal and HKS are fucking expensive and JIC has a really bad rep.

Im in the same boat he's in. I want good suspension for a daily driver and potentially drag, depending on the income and gf. What would u recommend for someone like me. Drifting is out for sure except for when I get enough balls to take it into an empty parking lot when its raining. I want coilovers and i saw that the Tein Basic's were going for $800 and thats the same price that I was going to spend for an eibach/ kyb setup. What do u think about that? Or the Tein Street for $1200?

So the Tein Streets are a good choice i take it.

It's not like they will break or anything, but just be careful cause they tend to rust, even though they say they've added a new coating...

Teins blow nuts for how much they cost here. 80% Drag and 20% drift is a tall order too. seeing as how the rear spring rates on those two types of cars are completely oppisite. really what your looking for since this is a street car (ask me how I know :rolleyes:) is a good solid coilover thats not gonna break


SPL, Buddy Club and Silk Road for a great Street / Track coilover.

D2s and Megans if your a risk taker or dont care how long they last.


Any well sprung coilover is gonna make the hookup worse on a drag car (Besides Drag Sprung Coils HKS Drag / Aragosta Drag) so keep the rear shock-spring combo and throw it on the back if you care.

Where can i find me some SPL, Buddy Club and Silk Road coilover's.
