My belts started squeeqing pretty loud the last few days, do I just need new belts??? or do they need to be tighter??

How many years/miles on the belts? Do they only squeal when the car is cold, or all the time?

It probably depends on what belts are squeeling. When I came down to school (SoCal), my AC belt started squeeling when I had the AC on and I had to get it changed.

I dont know how many miles are on them, they were on there when i got the car, (4months ago) and the car has 78,000 on it.... it squeels usually when its raining or damp out. and it squeels wheather the AC is on or off.

Just replace em with some gatorback belts, they're like $20 a piece and they should never squeal again.

check the belt deflection it should only be a half inch or something. Either tighten or loosen the belts.

Same thing happened to me. When I had my AC running, it would sqeal and when I stepped on the gas, it'll sqeal even louder. Very annoying....just get your AC belt (I think they also call it serpentine belt) changed and you should be good to go. But if you have new belts then I dunno....that's kinda beyond me then.....because mine were old and dry so I needed them replaced.
