Hey everyone. I just bought my self a brand spanking old 89 GT. Its my first car ever. Yeah, i'ma complete newbie. Car was in good condition mechanically (my mechanic was impressed), gasket repair here, power steering hose there, though there were a few things cosmetically that was left lacking. I need to know three things:

1) I need to know how to get rid or rust or remove it- cost effectively. I need detailed instructions. Its on the sun roof and the paint is chipping down and falling into the car. Not fun when you're eating a sundae. I know what you're going to ask: yes i was, no it wasn't smart, but i was hungry...still am actually...

2) If any good soul out there has a few parts for a super red II colored 89 GT, like the hood trim, the sun roof, the interior power lock covers (passenger side mostly, i may spray paint the driver's), passenger side read seat belt latch, power antenna, passenger side fender, trunk struts, console lid (or its latch)...etc for a cheap price...or even a kind soul who would want to just give it away and i pay for shipping because i'm a poor college student who wants to pursue higher education and have a radio that works for his lonely 20 mile commute...

Just undersell the junk yard guys, they wanted me to pay $20 for a freaking power lock switch cover! Can i getta Hells NO.

3) Installation of the power locks swtich, the power antenna, how remove dents with a mallet (simple body work), and, most of all, where can i get one of those snazzy GT Celica CT stickers i see on my spoiler, because mine is just gone to hell :disappoin .

Oh, yes, i know my radio is double DIN, and my friend wants to give me his CD player and entire sound system (see, now THAT'S a friend), how would i go about adding a second power supply in case i want to add in an in-dash touch screen panel (this is for a project i'm making into a research project, i'm still poor :2cents: ).

To all, i've found your forum both helpful and informative. Good work and thank you to all. I have faith that many of you will try to help your new younger brother in his time of great need with your knowledge and junked parts :smokin: . God bless you all!
