If I'm not mistaken there wasn't a word of english on this one.
Pretty straight forward build on this one. I originally bought this one just because I wanted to see the "stretch" tires a few of you had mentioned on here before. So I paid $30 (US) for this bad boy, feeling like crap because I just paid $30 for some 1/24 scale wheels. But after browsing the model, I decided what the hell, I'm gonna see If I can build this thing in one night! I was waiting for my sister and brother in law to come home (7hr drive from where they live) so I definitely had some time to kill. I started at 12AM and called it quits around 4:30AM. I was too eager and kept touching the paint before it was completely dry. But here are the pics:

A comparison of the same wheels SSR MKII, but one with the stretch type tires and the other being a set I recently ordered from HLJ.

http://www.hdpixel.com/gallery/data/3572/377Dscn0961.jpg

Then the multiple light layers of Tamiya Metallic Red Begins:

In between painting/drying, I assembled the suspension. Nothing fancy (or accurate for that matter LOL), but it came with the parts to make it super cambered just like the box. But putting the wheels on was tricky because of the way the metal pin for each tire fit so tightly. I almost broke all four corners as far as the suspension goes trying to mount the wheels! But I managed with a little luck and just in time to snap a few pics with the wheels:

http://www.hdpixel.com/gallery/data/3572/377Dscn0970-med.jpg
At this point, I called it quits because I kept messing up the paint job. I picked up in the morning and took a few more pics:

http://www.hdpixel.com/gallery/data/3572/377Dscn0980-med.jpg
And I don't understand the significance of having only one headlight up, but since that is how it is pictured on the box, that is how I am building mine:

I know what you mean, I found each of these at random places when I wasn't even looking for them. I always figure, if I don't buy it when I see it, I may never see it again. 90% of the time, I'm right. LOL!

The windshield banner and the rising sun say chi-ki-chi-ki-re-shi-n-gu = ChikiChiki Racing.
The headlight is "winking". At least that's what a lot of old schoolers around here call it. Very appropriate for the time period.
I'm not sure what the larger four symbols say. I forgot how to read Kanji.

Yup, the parts that are included set the wheels at that exact camber angle. As B-radC stated, a little too much camber for my tastes, but it is accurate of the time era's style I believe. I was thinking the same thing when I painted it with the silver. I thought to myself "Man! It looks pretty nice just like this!!" But I already planned on red so I stuck with it.

Thanks for the info! Maybe the "winking" will start a trend for old school models with flip lights! LOL! But I agree, the style of the model is accurate for the time period. I wish I still had my old japanese mags with cars set up like this. It would give sooooo many ideas for my other models!!

Whoops!! Yeah, I just deleted the other thread since we don't need two of the same thread. I built this model "box stock" so that's exactly the stance it will turn out to be if anyone builds it. All I need to do is paint the window trim and add the lights. I need to buy new paint brushes though.
