check engine light

ok here's the problem, my check engine light has gone on three times now and will not go off unless I hook up to the computer and reset it... I have the missing link on my car to prevent the map sensor from going off. The reason that the check engine is going off is I'm supposedly running rich and the O2 sensor is getting triggered. Now the thing is i have both an air/fuel ratio gauge and the apexi tubo timer which reads the air fuel mixture... now the ideal ratio is 1 to 14.7 and according to the turbo timer I'm running 14.6 when traveling at a regular rate and jumps between 14.2 and 15.0 at idle. Of course it'll run richer when I hit the gas which it is supposed to do and run lean when I let off the gas but overall if anything I may be a little on the lean side. Anyone know why it would be registering in my comp that I'm running rich? We even hooked up my ecu to the comp and took the car for some runs and my turbo timer matches the comp read outs for my air/fuel mixture. From what I understand the ideal air/fuel mixture should fluctuate between rich and lean when at idle, is this right?

check your rising rate regulator. make sure it's hooked up to the intake plenum and not a direct boost line from the turbo.
if that's hooked up properly, then open up the RRR and make sure the plunger didnt get stuck.
as for running rich, check your ECU codes when the light goes off again. that's the only way to know for sure what the error is. the ECU doesnt trip a light for running too rich. besides, you shouldnt be at stoichiometric when you're on the throttle. it should be reading very rich at WOT. only at cruise will it show near stoich, since the ECU only monitors the O2 sensor at idle and cruise. varying throttle angles while driving or going WOT sends the ECU into open loop, thus reading it's stored fuel and ignition maps and not the O2 sensor.
also, make sure your MAP bypass valve is not installed upside down.

thanx alot drift... I'll check everything you suggested this weekend and let you know if that solves the problem.
