Flood damaged LS

I am looking for a bargain on an 03 or newer. I am not so sure this is a brillant thing to do but there is an 04 on Ebay with 13kmiles that has a flood title. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31850&item=4535109615&rd=1

It does look pretty nice but have no idea what kind of damage it has sustained. I am thinking that I can find out where the car is from, if it is Florida well it is probably Sea water and the car would be pretty useless but if from a place where it was probably fresh water it could be a bit better. For $100 you can have the car inspected by one of the companies that does such things. One big down fall is there is no warranty, I am sure that Ford doesn't warranty a car that has been flooded.

Ok. What is this car worth if anything. Are there ways of buying such things and take some of the risk out of it.

Anyother comments welcome
Thanks
Barry

Do not get a flood car. The LS is just too damn complicated to risk such a thing. If it was an older F150 truck, maybe, but not a luxury car like this.

Just my opinion.

Thanks for the reply. I am agreeing with you and other factors have made me have no interest in this car. Whenever I am thinking of buying anything on Ebay I always ask a few questions, even if I have to make them up, just to see how the seller handles them, in this case they just ignored me and they were good questions, maybe too good.

The other is I finally got out to look a 2004 they had fairly local, 60 miles is farily local for me. It was a Lincoln factory rep car with 14Kmiles and I would call it perfect. It was silver and much to my surprise my wife really liked it and she said she didn't want a silver one, hmmmm... this started out good. I did what I did a few years ago when I didn't buy an LS, I sat in the passenger seat. Geeezzzeee, Lincoln has their head up their ass. They call it a 6 way power seat but it doesn't adjust very much in the vertical and doesn't tilt what so ever, this would be less of a problem if the seat wasn't so low to begin with, I can't imagine anyone over 12(I know that Ford was going after a younger buyer) being comfortable in this seat. What are they they thinking, what did they save $4.

I am 95% sure we are just going to keep our Mark or if I can find a really nice low mileage one to buy.

I hear ya. It does remind me a little of an F-body car there. You just have to extend out your legs.

Good luck on your search.
