I have a 94 Accord and I pulled the fuse to the EFI out on accident with the battery still connected. Now my car idles between 1300-2000 rpms. it sounds as if someone is pressing and releasing the gas. i have replced the MAP sensor, Idle Speed solenoid. I tried a new throttle body and that made my idle jump and rev at 3300. i have put a new computer (ECM) in that is not helping either. i dont seem to have any vaccum leaks and am running out of ideas. Please ppost anything that you think would help! thanks

When you pulled out the EFI fuse, is the "Key On" in your ignition? It was unnecessary to replace all those parts because it's not a mechanical problem at the first place. First I thought you might have fried the computer, but you said you have replaced a new one. Did you replaced it with the same but new ECM? Did you put the old PROM from your old ECM into the new ECM?

If you have done the things I have mention above and still having an abnormal idle, you are going to need to hook up a scanner and check out what's going on in the ECM.

My guess is that your Bypass or EST (Electronic Spark Timing) in your ECM is not working properly. There will be a lot of things to do to check, so it's better for you to bring your car to a qualify (ASE A8 certify) mechanic to check things out.

there is something under the throttle body, it might be Idle Speed solenoid, but when i replaced that on prelude it stopped the problem.

Did you tell the tech about the fuse incendent?

Did the tech tell you what did he check?

Is the idle ok now?

Check the idle speed solenoid when you are having the erractic idle, is the solenoid plunger moving in and out?

The tech should at less hook up a scanner and see what else is affecting the idle. The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve will affect the idle, but that will only happen over a long time and very rare, also it has nothing to do with what you have mention at the beginning of the thread.
