i have done the the following: replaced clock spring, actuator switch. since then i have gotten a pin point test from alldata, i go through the test and it tells me to check the resistance on the vss connector. well if you have ever worked on one of these then you know that it is almost impossible to reach the connector end much less test across the terminals. does anyone have any information?

Is the crouse control factory for one or is it after market, eather way you should be able to check the resistance on the VSS from the actuater to see if you are geting a signal if its after market. if its factory you will have to check the connector at the ECM this is the main brain of the vehicle its easly done but you will have to raise the drive tire off the ground and spin it by hand to see if there is a resistance on the meter this is really the only way to check because the drive tire gives the road speed info to the ECM to count the MPH for the crouse control thats why they call that the VSS signal it stands for Vehicle Speed Sensoure. after you check and you find no signal fix the contact.
