quad/dirt bike???

well there is the trex street bike/car (3 wheeled bike) and am wondering if the rear swingarm, gears, rear tire, brakes, everything else from a dirt bike would be able to be mounted on a quad frame where the quad rear swingarm would be mounted (making it a 3 wheeler) the gears should line up properly but am wondering mostly if it would mount up properly (im looking at an older quad that has the rear end already taken off,its a parts quad) and am thinking if i can find a bike of the same size, make, and around the same year at a wrecking yard if i can throw the rear end on the quad.

im wanting somthing fun to play with everyonce in a while.
