I have a 1996 MGM. Just picked up a new set of front rotors. They have no studs on them at all. Di they just slip on likethe rear disc ones do? I'm sort of new to this generation of Ford products.

The rotors just slide onto the hub. One thing I do when changing brakes or rotors is to put the new rotor on and then run a lug nut up to snugly hold the rotor in place while installing the caliper. Once the caliper is in place, just pull the lug nut off and you're ready to bleed the brakes if nessary,or proceed to re mount the wheel.

at first but I did it. It wasn't that bad at all. Only thing that fought me was the 18mm bolts holding the caliper mount on to the knuckle. It had to be removed in order to remove the rotor. Felt strange not taking out a cotter pin, loosening up a nut and seeing bearing fall out after I pull the rotor. I actually like this design better. No grease to deal with.
