My truck is coughin blood (gas) and slowing dying. or at least it was until i stopped driving it a week ago when i realiaed somethin inside my engine broke :disappoin . But unless its turns out to be some sort of vacuum issue that i couldnt find im pretty certain its the cam shaft/timing assembly. Sooo im thinkin while all that is taken apart whats the sense in just puttin a replacement in. I just want something a lil more aggresive, however when i previosly priced a comp cams k-kit it was $800 and there no way in hell im payin $800 for a cam setup. my questions are what could i do that wouldnt cost much more than a replacement but give me a lil more power? and also would i need to adjust my injectors if thats even possible or need to buy new ones? im not sure if i wanna let the mech fix it or if me and a friend will fix it, depends on the $cost of the parts. Hopefully i can also get a port polish job while im doin all this so i get the 6000lb. (yes i had it weighed the other week) beast runnin low 16's.

The K Kits include new lifters. I am pretty sure that you have a roller cam now and you would only need to replace the lifters if there were problems with them.

With a flat tappet cam, the lifters wear and need to be replaced when the cam is replaced. This is not the case with a roller cam.

The roller cams are more expensive in general but don't waste the money on new lifters.

On the injectors, it really depends on how big you go with the cam. If you stay close to stock, the stock injectors will be fine. You may need to reprogram the computer to take full advantage of the cam.
