didn't want to go there, but my first race at thrack 75/80 in frederick md was against a wrx turbo. his car was stock, and i had intake and exhaust. I ran a 16.01 and he ran a 16.4. i lost respect for the wrx. BUT i should hope you guys are faster with the turbo and all.
lets do the math
wrx;227 hp to the crank 182-190 to the wheels (AWD trannies eat about 20% of power)
my integra about 140-150 to the wheels(couple of mods done)
there is no excuse no to win, i understand that AWD cars are hard to launch, and wrx's are heavy, but not only at the track have i beaten them a few on the street. granted they were all stock. the only thing i have to say is don't be cocky.

That wasn't the car that was slow, it was the driver that couldn't drive......seriously....
Frederick....hmm, I have a friend races there.

"Heavy" is a very relative term. Compared to an Integra, yes, we're slightly heavier. My friend who drives an ///M3 and my two friends who drive 3000gt Mitsus make fun of my car blowing off the road in a slight breeze because it's so light.
But yes, a WRX should smoke an Integra stock for stock. However, 'tis very bad for our clutch (we don't burn off energy via wheelspin the way 2wd cars do), so lots of us don't drag race "correctly" in an effort to save our cars. A good launch in a stock WRX from a stop will snap your head back and clear your sinuses, even on our crappy stock Potenza tires. An Integra simply won't do that.

this is very, very true. i guess that explains why i have beaten stock wrx's off the line, but they have a faster trap speed

16.4???? your joking right???
we have street cars here in australia with simple bolt on upgrades running low 13s with stock turbos.
simple turbo and ecu upgrade and a good driver will net you a 12 second et
the guy in the WRX needs to learn how to drive

What is the problem on the street i have beaten stock WRXs with my LS integra. Does that mean i have a 14 second car?? or is it that the WRXs i have raced suck at driving??
the 16.4 that was a fluke ill admit it.

not so much a street racing event but more of like a pissing contest. You know like stop light to stop light.

Don't get too confident, Honda Boy. You probably won't see very many WRX's that slow. 16.4.... I think my wife can beat that in her SUV. Acura MDX 1/4 mile is 16.1
I just can't imagine that a WRX can do 1/4 mile so slow...

16's in a WRX? Was that in reverse?
Even running an FIA 34mm inlet restrictor in my rally car and carrying all the extra weight of a roll cage etc etc, the car would still pull much faster times than that.....
Could be that the US WRX's are detuned. The Australian WRX's are detuned slightly from those of the Japanese origins. In saying that, it doesn't take much to over come it though.....

Your ignorance forces me to call BULLSHIT, by your post you obviously don't own the car you claim.
Additionally, the US WRX is not 'detuned' as you put it.
