Passenger Door Problem!

A while ago the seat belt was slammed in the Passenger door and now it doesn't close the right way. I went to autozone and they said that the door latch has been pushed backwards, (so the door is closing to high and letting water in above the window) and that if I take to a body shop they will fix it for 5 or 10 bucks. Is there any way that I can fix it myself? If so what tools will I need and stuff?

What do you want to adjust , the window or the door?

The door needs to be adjusted, the window is fine.

Well unless something is loose or bent I don't show a way to adjust it in my service manual. I would contact a body shop for a second opinion though. Good Luck

Honestly, the only way to adjust the door itself, is to loosen the door hinges at the cowl-mount, and put in shims between the hingeplate and the cowl-plate. That's a LOT of trial and error, bud or gal, I say let a pro do it, save yourself the aggravation.
A decent body shop can realign the door in one day , about 40-50 bucks, and they have the shims and tools to get it right the first time, my thinking.
