rev limiter

Last night i was racing at the drag strip and everything was going just fine for my first 3 passes, but for some reason my rev limiter moved to 4,500 insted of 6,000. Its fine now but i would like to know what caused that.

P.S. I ran a 9.2 1/8th mile on a camaro that had cold air, a cut out and drag slicks is that a good time

Well I dont know why your cars rev limiter moved down like it did, the only possible reason I can think of is the computer protecting itself, maybe something momentaraly malfunctioned and it was compensating, or something similar.

Yeah thats about average track time, I could tell you better if you gave me the 1/4 mile time, because I dont like the 1/8 mile races as much, meaning Im not up to date on what the number translate to in the 1/8mile

And I think it looks freaking kool. Every now and then I goto the range and shoot.

I dont remember what exactly those shells are, I think they are actually .223 but I dont remember what the guy was shooting, so its very posible they are .308

rev limiters suck... take your car in and have the computer tuned.. then you should be good to go

im thinkin about gettin a chip put in its gonna put me out $400+ but it also comes with a tuning program. I would say the name of the chip but i have a 15 second mind so i forgot.....what was i talking about
