1999 Taurus back strut removal

Trying to find the bolts for the back struts. Are they in the trunck? If so do u have to remove something besides the carpet piece?

I think they are under the rear deck panel. Or you may be able to remove the trim and see them. They are accessable through the back door. Been a while. Memory lost.

Just looked at the manual and you have to remove the rear panel behind the seat. Good luck.

Way to old, i pulled of the trim piece and can feel the bolt, havent tried removing it yet but how does the rear panel get removed. Thanks for any help

Manual says to remove the rear seat, remove the trim panels and then remove the tray. Good luck
