Muffler and EGR Fixes I Made

I just found this forum. Very nice!!
I recently had to replace the muffler on my 1998 Trooper. The dealer wanted $525 for it and $250 for the tailpipe. I found a solution for less than $60 total. I plan to write something up about how I did it but I am really strapped for time right now. If someone needs the info now, I could provide something. Let me know.
Also, my EGR valve went bad. It was a corroded connection inside. I was able to open up the EGR valve and repair it. Again, because of time constraints I can't write up a good description of what I did but if someone has a immediate need, I can do something. Let me know.
Just trying to contribute,

Pete,
Take your time. But make sure when you do have time to do a couple of write ups for us.

The dealer/OEM price for any exhaust system component will be through the roof. They are typically 3x the cost of aftermarket. It's good to hear the 1998+ EGR valves are serviceable (aside from de-carbing). Thanks!

Okay, so the muffler & tailpipe broke apart on my '99 trooper. I can't find an aftermarket muffler anywhere. I'm all ears on the cheap fix?

you can buy a muffler from them and then take it to any exhaust shop.

Too bad I couldn't include the figures (photos). It may be useless without them.
Glad I didn't take the time to write up my EGR valve solution and find I couldn't include the pics.
Sorry
