Hey, I was looking through threads and I saw that sharkracing has a pretty bad reputation amongst tib owners. What kinda horror stories are we talking about? I just order a cold air intake and now you guys have me pretty concerned. Why doesn't everyone use this thread has a place to warn eachother about websites that they have had problems with or products that they felt were junk. No use in repeating other member's mistakes. Hope to hear from you all soon.

well its hit or miss with them... some people get their products in a timely manner and have a pretty nice experience with them...
others however have waited up to months, and a few people over a year to recieve little thhings like emblms.. to big things like an exhaust system

i hope you get your intake without a problem

Hey guys,

This is just to inform you all to forget buying parts from Sharkracing's website. I ordered my intake 3 weeks ago and it still hasn't even been shipped from their factory. I've attempted to contact them via email to find out whats going on for 2 weeks and still have not recieved a reply. So now they have my money and I have no extra air. Well this has pissed me off so bad that I'm cancelling my order and blowing 100 extra bucks for an Injen CAI to be overnighted. Unless anyone has another intake that they recommend. The Weapon R claims 8 hp, if anyone has some backing for this fairly high claim let me know. Thanks

I Have heard that the Weapon-R Secret Weapon Intake makes some good power, also heard that the Injen Intake is good too

Personally, I've never dealt with SR. But I've heard mixed things about their service. Probably 50-50. They do have some unique items though.

The previous owner of my Tib installed an Injen - very nice, I'd reccomend one.

I actually just learned this a few days ago from your parts breakdown thread - so thx for that! Makes sense now tho why the intake comes from the left of the car - less chance of deep puddles towards the middle of the road. At least that's my reasoning. Dunno if it's just a mechanical thing too or not :P

So by that reasoning you would never encounter a puddle while driving in the left lane on a hiway. :screwy:It's absolutely and purely mechanical! The stock intake is all on the driver's side. The TB is on the driver's side. From a mechanical standpoint, it would be impractical if not impossible to route the itake to the pass side. :banghead:

Hey now. Just an observation made out of my complete and utter noobness. Obviously if there's a huge standing puddle of water I wouldn't drive through it but on a normal road you'd find most of the water on the right side.

Yea ok I'll shut up now...

I put injen cai in like three days ago. It sits high enough that puddles shouldn't be a problem, unless you think your driving a boat. It sounds nice, I previously used aem in my cars and I like the sound this one produces much better.

yeah... i know i'm dumb for trying out the tib as a boat with a CAI, but shit happens
