Your probably best to take it in to the pro's.
If we all knew how to program them it'd be easy for would be theives to come up with a master program

no, theives couldnt, i have a programmable remote start and alarm on my s 10, you need to know the vallet/ program button, search the floor for it, by the steering columb and kick pannel, that area, possibly even in the fuse box, if its like the subarus then its something like, turn key to acc position, push button, hold lock untill horn beeps and 2 flashes of lights, should be in your book as how-to... if not its a dealer thing and they want like 40 bucks or more

I got this from my 2002 Blazer S-10 Service Manual
Transmitter Programing (Manual Method)
All transmitters which are to be recognized by the remote control door lock reciever (RCDLR) must be programmed in a single programming sequence. If the system is placed in program mode it will erase all previously programmed transmitters upon the reciept of the programming signal from the first transmitter. Up to four transmitters can be programmed. Do not operate or program the transmitters in the vicinity of other vehicles that are in the keyless entry program mode. This prevents the programming of the transmitters to the incorrect vehicle. The order in which the transmitters are programmed is important. The first transmitter programmed will be transmitter #1, and the second transmitter programmed will be transmitter #2. The numbers on the transmitters are for reference only: #2 can be programmed as #1 or vice versa. Additional unnumbered transmitter are also available. Use care to program the transmitters correctly.
Perform the following steps:
1. Close the vehicle doors
2. Turn off the ignition
3. Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder
4. Press and hold the drivers side door lock switch to the unlock position.
5. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and remove the key. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock cylinder.)
6. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and remove the key. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock cylinder.)
7. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock cylinder.) Leave the key in the ignition lock cylinder.
8. Release the door lock switch. The body control module (BCM) will sound three beeps in order to verify the Program Mode has been activated.
9. Press the lock and unlock buttons on the keyless entry transmitter simultaneously for approximately 5 seconds. The BCM will sound two beeps in order to verify that the transmitter has been successfully programmed.
10. Perform the previous step to program up to four transmitters.
11. Remove the ignition key in order to exit the Program Mode.
12. Verify the proper operation of each transmitter.
Good luck, let us know how it works.
