Just purchased 2002 Yukon, drivers side seat is flaking off - has anyone else had this problem? Any fixes?

Flaking off? As in "peeling"? Not that I don't believe you, but that's a new one...

FWIW--the leather on GM's seats are of pretty poor quality IMHO; they crack (or more correctly-speaking, show numerous crease lines) fairly easily, no matter how much leather conditioner you apply to the seats. The only way you can prolong the inevitable is to avoid gliding your butt over the thigh support/edges when sitting down on or getting out of the seat.

I wish I had a pic but yes, little pieces come off everytime I get in and out. It looks like pencil shavings in my floorboard. I'm getting qoutes now to have this bottom seat cover replaced. When I called the trim shop they knew exactly what I was talking about - even knew it was the sable color.
