alright guys what do you think .... should it matter if you buy a name brand y pipe or do you think the one on ebay for 40 dollars will work? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=38634&item=7960023058&rd=1 there is the link...... im only planning of running 14.5 psi..... so would the ebay y pipe work? or does it make more sense to buy the dynamicracing ypipe for 200 dollars?

This has been addressed before...ebay y-pipes are POS. They lack flared ends and so they blow off, even at stock levels, there are plenty of people who have wasted their money with these and had to try dozens of ghetto remedies to try and make them not blow off...only in the end to resort to buying a new one. Yes there are some that have gotten them to work, and yes there are some who have welded rings on the ends, or gotten the ends flared by local shops...but the ebay y-pipes are made of cheap aluminum, and usually melt or get disfigured when people try and modify them to work correctly...so if you want to waste your money, go for it, if not, get a decent one the first time.

And next time, please search.

When I went to get my intake pressure tested by a nice guy on 3SI he showed me the y pipe he got off ebay, it was crumpled in where the throttle body hooked up because they very cheep thin aluminium with welds that I could do better... and I can't weld!! Seriously go with one from dejon-tool for like $150, they come powdercoated in your choice of colors and they even will weld on flanges if you want. I saw his and I was amazed at the quality of the powdercoating and welds and everything, very nice deal for $150, they look MUCH better than in the pic when hooked up, heres a link http://www.dejontool.com/3S.htm#upper%20IC%20Pipes
